“Gambhir sir keeps things simple. He knows what he wants and communicates that clearly. That clarity is helping everyone stay focused,” said Akashdeep, who is part of India’s pace attack for the ongoing England tour.
Discussing his growing partnership with senior pacer Mohammad Siraj, Akashdeep called it a valuable learning curve. “Siraj bhai sets the tone with aggression. Bowling alongside him gives me confidence,” he added.
On the topic of English conditions, Akashdeep admitted that the flat wickets could test the bowlers’ discipline. “There’s little margin for error. We have to be smart and consistent,” he said.
