Gill to Lead Young India in Home Test Series vs West Indies
Ray Sportz Web Desk: The BCCI has announced a fresh-looking 15-member squad for the two-Test home series against West Indies starting October 2. Shubman Gill will captain the side for the first time in India, with Ravindra Jadeja serving as vice-captain.
The squad features a mix of youth and experience, with Sai Sudharsan and Devdutt Padikkal strengthening the top order and Dhruv Jurel named as wicketkeeper in the continued absence of Rishabh Pant. The bowling attack is spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, supported by spinners Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar.
Karun Nair and Manav Suthar have been left out, while Nitish Kumar Reddy and N. Jagadeesan are included as all-round and keeping options.
