FIFA Imposes Transfer Ban on Mohammedan Sporting Club Over Unpaid Dues
Ray Sportz Web Desk: FIFA has officially imposed a registration ban on Mohammedan Sporting Club for failing to meet its financial obligations toward Uzbek footballer Kasimov Mirjalol.
In a letter dated July 3, 2025, FIFA’s Head of Disciplinary, confirmed that the Kolkata-based club had not complied with the decision passed in the case (Ref. no. FPSD-18798). As a result, the club is now barred from registering any new players at both international and national levels.
The ban will remain in force until the full amount due is paid, and could last for a maximum of three consecutive registration periods.
FIFA has also directed the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to ensure immediate implementation of the ban within domestic competitions.
This development could severely impact the club’s preparations and squad-building for the upcoming season unless a prompt resolution is achieved.
