IND vs ENG: Bumrah Skips Net Session Ahead of 2nd Test vs England

Ray Sportz Web Desk: India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was notably absent from the team’s net session on Friday as the Men in Blue resumed training ahead of the second Test against England at Edgbaston, starting July 2.
Sources close to the team management confirmed that Bumrah’s absence was part of a pre-planned workload management strategy. Head coach Gautam Gambhir had earlier indicated that Bumrah would likely feature in only three of the five Tests in the ongoing series to maintain his fitness and avoid overexertion.
Despite missing the session, Bumrah was seen at the venue, observing proceedings. His absence raises questions about India’s bowling attack, especially after their narrow loss in the opening Test. Pacer Prasidh Krishna also skipped training, further hinting at possible changes in the playing XI.
India are yet to win a Test at Edgbaston, and Bumrah’s potential exclusion could prove critical as they look to bounce back in the series.
