Sourav Roy, Perth: India is going to start their journey in the Border-Gavaskar trophy on 22nd November. On the eve of Perth test Former India head coach Ravi Shastri is quite confident in Yashasvi Jaiswal. He believes that Jaiswal will return from the Australian tour as a significantly improved batter, no matter the challenges he encounters along the way.

Shastri said if Jaiswal can adapt to the challenging Perth pitch, known for its lively bounce, the young opener will play with freedom later on in the series. Shastri also said, “I think he’ll be a better player when he leaves Australian shores. Already he’s world class. I think once he adapts to these conditions — it’s not going to be easy to adjust in Perth with that bounce, no matter how talented you are. You have got to be prepared to do the hard yards.”
