Pacer Jasprit Bumrah completed his 11th five-wicket haul in Tests as Australia were bundled out for 104 at lunch, losing the remaining three wickets in the morning session on Day 2 to give India a handy 46 run first-innings lead in the opening match here on Saturday.
For India, captain Jasprit Bumrah (5/30) was the pick of the bowlers while Mohammed Siraj (2/20) and debutant Harshit Rana (3/48) also chipped in.

Mitchell Starc revealed his plan that he ensure to hit the pads of Jaiswal. Starc also gave his plan while bowling the first over. He said, “We know how important it is to make early blows for India. Starc also praise Nathan McSweeney and Marnus Labuschagne for their tough 3rd session with the pink ball and appreciate them to ensuring Australia to lost only one wicket on day 1. Starc says, “A good day all out. It’s a good way to finish the day. But the hardest time to bat is that third session with the new pink ball. On the other hand Marnus and McSweeney to fight through sustained to finish the day one down. We have a chance to go on tomorrow, it was fantastic from them. Obviously, a fair bit of outside noise. Very pleased for them”.

AUS vs IND: Gambhir Flies Back Home Over ‘Family Emergency’

Sourav Roy, Perth: India head coach Gautam Gambhir has flown back home with his family due to a “personal emergency” and is unlikely to rejoin the squad before the second Test against Australia beginning December 6 in Adelaide.
The Delhi-based Gambhir will skip India’s two-day pink ball warm-up game against Prime Minister’s in Canberra starting November 30.
“He left with his family on early Tuesday morning for India. It is an unavoidable personal emergency. He will be back in Adelaide before the start of the second Test match,” a BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

AUS vs IND: Skipper Rohit Sharma hit nets in perth

Sourav Roy, Perth: India is playing the first test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy in Perth. They are looking to seal the victory in the first test on the fourth day. Rohit Sharma, who was on paternity leave and became father to a baby boy recently, joined the Indian team on the fourth day of the Perth Test. He arrived Australia on Sunday.
He was seen batting in the nets for almost 40 minutes during the lunch session on Monday. Rohit faced reserve pacers Navdeep Saini, Akash Deep, Yash Dayal and Mukesh Kumar with pink ball at the nets in Perth. He played almost 250 balls to get accustomed with Australian weather. When he was batting at the net he got out for two times. Rohit Sharma is keen to get back his form in red ball cricket very quickly. The second test match of the Border-Gavaskar trophy is going to start from December 6.
